Job Description:

This full-time Metal Fabricator role in Cambridge offers a starting wage of $24.00 to $26.00 per hour, with long-term advancement potential reaching $30.00+ per hour. Working a consistent day shift, you will perform high-grade welding and fitting for diverse industrial projects. This position features an immediate start, provided PPE, and a transition to a brand-new facility in Cambridge this summer. Job Responsibility:

  • Blueprint Interpretation: Review and interpret drawings, prints, sketches, and verbal instructions to determine project specifications and tolerances
  • Precision Fabrication: Plan and execute the sequence of operations for welding and fitting tasks, including joint alignment, part setup, and final assembly
  • Multi-Process Welding: Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding on industrial-grade steel and aluminum components
  • Machine Setup & Operation: Select, set up, and operate various fabrication equipment and hand-cutting tools to produce parts to spec
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality control inspections on finished pieces to ensure they meet all design requirements and precision standards

Requirements:

  • Prove your ability to read blueprints and technical drawings for accurate assembly
  • Pass a practical welding test on-site in Cambridge to validate your technical proficiency

Nice to have:

  • Hold a valid CWB certification to meet the high standards of this Metal Fabricator role
  • Demonstrate at least 3 years of professional experience welding and fitting heavy-gauge industrial metals
