Job Description:

Bootz & Duke Sign Co. is a premier full-service sign company that has been serving Arizona and National Accounts since 1964. The Journeyman Metal Fabricator will work closely with project management and will be responsible for executing professional, quality fabrications and installations per all current designs and blueprints. Able to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate is an experienced sign shop fabricator, can decipher blueprints, operate equipment (press-breaks, shears, cutting tables, forklifts, etc.), evaluate the functionality of components, and able to grind, weld and analyze notes in database.

Job Responsibility:

  • Executing professional, quality fabrications and installations per all current designs and blueprints
  • Work quickly and efficiently while maintaining safety standards
  • Decipher blueprints
  • Operate equipment (press-breaks, shears, cutting tables, forklifts, etc.)
  • Evaluate the functionality of components
  • Grind, weld and analyze notes in database

Requirements:

  • Previous experience fabricating in a sign shop is essential
  • Strong working knowledge of metal fabrication and welding
  • Experience and ability to operate machinery, including but not limited to chop saws, band saws, press brakes, cutting tables, forklifts, etc.
  • Proficient with electrical components
  • Reading blueprints, legend symbols, scale of plan, and diagrams
  • Interpret correct workflow based on order notes
  • Thorough grasp of OSHA safety standards and procedures is required
