We are seeking an MES Technician to join our team. In this role you will, ensure that workshops are mainained in a safe operational state, that all teaching and learning related materials are prepared in a timely manner and appropriate stock levels maintained.

Job Responsibility

  • Make sure equipment is kept in an operational and safe state with relevant records maintained
  • Repair and service, where appropriate, the equipment in the area
  • Maintain an effective stock control system of materials and consumables and order stock/materials/equipment
  • Maintain working areas to the required standard of cleanliness and order
  • Provide demonstrations to the learners if required and give assistance to the lecturer when required
  • Develop and update personal professional expertise in the relevant areas

Requirements

  • Experience of plumbing or Electrical installations would be preferable
  • Knowledge of ordering and stock control
  • Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent
