RED Global is looking for a MES Solutions Architect for a 6 month onsite contract in Fort Worth, TX with one of our biggest global clients!

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct fit‑gap analysis to evaluate manufacturing requirements against Opcenter standard capabilities
  • Design end‑to‑end MES solutions that support manufacturing operations, traceability, quality, and compliance
  • Develop solution blueprints, system architectures, data models, and technical design documentation
  • Ensure solutions align with ISA‑95 principles and enterprise architecture standards
  • Design and build Opcenter customizations including services, rules, events, extensions, and UI components
  • Develop custom business logic, data structures, and user interactions to support shop‑floor needs
  • Support and manage MES enhancement and customization extensions while maintaining system stability
  • Contribute to a common MES code base to ensure reuse, consistency, and maintainability across sites
  • Architect and implement integrations between Opcenter and ERP (e.g., SAP), PLM, SCADA, automation, historians, and other enterprise systems
  • Design and develop interfaces using REST/SOAP APIs, web services, messaging frameworks, or Opcenter Integration Frameworks
  • Support MES deployment activities including configuration, technical testing, validation, and release readiness
  • Develop and execute technical test scripts and support GxP documentation where applicable
  • Participate in incident, problem, change, and configuration management processes (ITIL‑aligned)
  • Translate business and manufacturing requirements into MES functional and technical specifications
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, IT, OT, and external vendors to ensure solution alignment and execution
  • Troubleshoot and resolve MES integration and customization issues to maintain production stability
  • Identify opportunities to optimize system performance, data flow, and user experience

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT Technology, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience working with Siemens Opcenter / Camstar MES solutions
  • Hands‑on experience designing and implementing MES customizations and integrations
  • Strong understanding of MES architecture, manufacturing systems, and shop‑floor operations
  • Experience with integration technologies (REST/SOAP APIs, messaging, web services)
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts
  • Experience with Opcenter Execution (Discrete, Process, or Medical/Pharma)
  • Experience working in regulated or validated environments (GxP, FDA, ISO)
  • Familiarity with ERP, PLM, SCADA, and industrial automation systems
  • Knowledge of CN MOM / CIO, Solution Configuration / Build with Designer / Portal Studio
  • Exposure to ITIL processes and tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)

  • Produce documentation of a high-quality and to a detailed level, ensuring that all decision points, building blocks, principles, rationale, roadmaps, and all interdependencies are understood, documented, and communicated across value streams
