Job Description:

As an MES Project Leader, you will oversee the full project lifecycle — from initial assessment to deployment, validation, and post-go-live support. You’ll bridge the gap between business, engineering, and IT to deliver compliant, high-impact MES solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead MES Implementation Projects: Manage project scope, timelines, resources, budgets, and risks
  • Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with digital, quality, manufacturing, and IT stakeholders
  • Client Engagement: Act as the main point of contact, facilitating workshops, requirement sessions, and steering meetings
  • Business Analysis: Map manufacturing workflows, identify process gaps, and translate them into system requirements
  • System Configuration & Testing: Oversee MES configuration, UAT execution, and integration with ERP, LIMS, SCADA, or DeltaV
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure deliverables meet GMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, and ALCOA+ standards
  • Continuous Improvement: Support clients in digital transformation initiatives and best practice adoption

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing), Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 8+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with MES platforms (e.g., Siemens OpCenter, Werum PAS-X, Rockwell MES)
  • Solid understanding of GMP operations and digital manufacturing processes
  • Experience managing end-to-end technology or transformation projects
  • Familiarity with system integration (ERP, SCADA, LIMS) and validation lifecycle (IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills

Nice to have:

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Experience in multi-site or global MES deployments
  • Prior consulting experience or exposure to digital transformation programs
