We are looking for an experienced Mergers and Acquisition Specialist to join our team in Willmar, Minnesota. This role is ideal for a skilled individual with a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and mergers and acquisitions. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, driving strategic initiatives, and supporting the organization’s growth objectives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage essential accounting functions such as month-end close processes, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, and inventory accounting to ensure operational efficiency
  • Prepare and review financial statements and management reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Lead regulatory reporting efforts, oversee tax preparation, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and standards
  • Conduct detailed analyses to identify financial trends, resolve issues, and enhance processes
  • Develop and monitor budgets, prepare forecasts, and analyze variances to support financial planning
  • Lead hedging and risk-management initiatives to mitigate financial risks
  • Coordinate and manage financial audits to ensure transparency and accuracy
  • Drive mergers and acquisitions activities, including due diligence, financial modeling, and post-merger integration
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership, including the President and Director of Finance, to align financial strategies with organizational goals

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or mergers and acquisitions
  • Expertise in mergers and acquisitions processes, including integration and financial modeling
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data analysis tools
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Familiarity with Great Plains accounting software and related systems
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of regulatory reporting and compliance standards
