As mergers & acquisitions (M&A) manager, you will support key activities across the entire transaction lifecycle related to possible mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other strategic investments. In this role, you will report directly to the Head of M&A. You will apply strategic, analytical, and transactional skills to support the identification and execution of growth opportunities across ASML.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct in-depth market, industry, and competitor assessments to identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets consistent with ASML’s strategic priorities
Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models & valuation analyses to evaluate transactions and present clear, data‑driven recommendations to senior stakeholders
Coordinate and support end‑to‑end due diligence activities across all ASML functions involved in the transaction process
Build strong relationships across the organization and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless transaction execution
Ensure consistency and alignment throughout the M&A lifecycle by managing each step of the process, securing stakeholder buy‑in, and integrating insights from business leaders, corporate functions, and external advisors
Work with exceptional attention to detail and strong time‑management skills, leading multiple workstreams simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and stakeholder expectations
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, management consulting or similar M&A or strategic partnership roles
Undergraduate degree in business, economics, finance, or similar is required
graduate degree preferred
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities with attention to detail and strong understanding of corporate finance, financial statements and valuation techniques (DCF, comparables, precedent transactions)
Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create concise reports and presentations
Excellent analytical and problem structuring skills and the ability to go into detail when the situation requires to do so
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team, self-starter with a high degree of motivation, reliability, and personal initiative
