The Merger and Acquisition IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing the IT integration/divestiture of the Seller’s/Buyer’s IT technologies to/from using standard applications and tools. The role involves organizing, planning, and executing IT activities, resources, and budgets associated with acquisitions or divestitures.
Job Responsibility:
Liaison with stakeholders in both selling and buying entities, including business partners, technologists, IT vendors, and end-users regarding project requirements
Manage assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, quality, and scope
Adhere to the IT Operating Model and maintain project workflow in the project governance system (Planview)
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation as per BD’s project management lifecycle guidelines
Develop a detailed project plan including scope, success factors, deliverables, work breakdown structure, schedule, budget, quality, resources, and communications
Manage scope change requests in coordination with the Project Owner
Coordinate with business stakeholders and vendors for seamless project execution
Measure project performance using project management tools
Perform risk management analysis to reduce project risks and escalate to leadership when needed
Prepare project status reports and facilitate project update meetings
Assist the M&A Lead in other activities as required
Requirements:
5–7 years of project management experience using PMBOK guidelines
Experience managing systems migration and integration in a merger, acquisition, or divestiture context
Experience managing projects in complex, fast-paced IT environments, with a focus on M&A
Knowledge of Program Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK®) concepts (agile, waterfall planning, etc.)
Expertise in project management tools (MS Project, SharePoint, etc.)
Skilled in stakeholder management, risk management, vendor management, and quality plans
Strong leadership and presence, with the ability to engage and inspire project stakeholders
Proactive in identifying and resolving risks and issues
Effective time management, interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead virtual meetings/workshops
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Project, SharePoint)
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or project management, with 6 years of experience in a global manufacturing company in an FDA-regulated environment
Certifications such as ACP, SCRUM, PMP, PgMP, Prince II, SAFe, or equivalent
Experience with ERP functions like Quote to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Manufacture
