We are looking for a motivated and strategic Site Merchandising Manager to join the Uber Grocery & Retail team. In this role, you will help shape and execute our merchandising strategy to deliver a world-class shopping experience for consumers while driving category and merchant growth. You will own the success of seasonal campaigns and category management initiatives, partnering closely with Consumer Operations, Marketing, Product, and other cross-functional teams to elevate merchandising standards both in-app and beyond. Using data and insights, you will help create an engaging, seamless shopping journey and ensure operational excellence across all merchandising efforts.
Job Responsibility:
Own local content, curation, and optimization: Build local collections, guide aisle management, curate landing pages, vertical feeds, and storefronts, and determine what goes live in your market
Manage and deliver high-impact campaigns: Lead the end-to-end development and execution of merchandising campaigns, managing calendars across owned categories. Ensure campaigns align with product strategy, cultural moments, and seasonal trends, while delivering merchant-specific initiatives
Tell the consumer story: Use performance data, consumer feedback, seasonality, and industry trends to shape the end-to-end consumer experience. Leverage insights to influence stakeholders, inform new strategies, and continuously improve the shopper journey
Category management: Own product assortment across categories, tailoring offerings based on insights, performance metrics, and customer demand. Partner cross-functionally to improve range, catalog quality, and overall sales performance
Data-driven optimization: Use data, insights, and industry analysis to refine merchandising strategies and campaign design, optimizing engagement, conversion, and ROI. Monitor platform health and regularly report on performance with clear insights and recommendations
Identify and elevate opportunities: Surface opportunities related to product features, partnerships, and marketing, and collaborate with global teams to prioritize and deliver impactful solutions
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in merchandising, e-commerce, or related roles, with exposure to global campaigns and category management
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
MBA or equivalent experience preferred
Fluency in both Spanish and English
Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to inform decisions and optimize merchandising strategies
Analytics experience using SQL, Looker, Tableau, Google Analytics, or similar tools
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams in a fast-paced environment
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
A test-and-learn mindset, with a focus on consumer experience, engagement, and conversion
Nice to have:
Experience with A/B testing tools
Familiarity with experimentation and personalization platforms
