Alexander McQueen is currently seeking an Merchandising Assistant, Accessories to join the Accessories & Footwear Product Merchandising team at our central London HQ. Reporting directly to the Senior Merchandiser for Leathergoods & Jewellery, this role will provide day-to-day support across both the Accessories and Footwear categories, collaborating closely with the Senior Merchandiser responsible for Footwear. This is an opportunity to gain broad exposure across multiple product groups within a dynamic luxury environment while contributing meaningfully to the development, performance, and presentation of our collections.
Job Responsibility:
Perform Sell in analysis, including sharing daily sell-in trackers after each buying campaign
Contribute to post-season reviews, highlighting key learnings and opportunities for future collections
Support competitive research and benchmarking on silhouettes, materials, pricing, and category trends showcasing strong analytical skills and fashion sensibility
Support with updating key merchandising documents such as line sheets, collection plans/briefs and training manuals
Maintain accuracy of the product catalogue, coordinating with Product Development team in Italy, including editing product names, adding delivery drops, and ensuring product line consistency in digital tools
Assist in verifying product imagery from the photographers, ensuring all product views are correctly named, complete, and visible in the selling tool
Assist with look-book and exit look codifications
Ensure all Carry Over samples are available and shipped prior to showroom for display
Coordinate sample requests, tracking, and organization for campaign shoots, E-commerce, Press, and selling campaigns
Support E-commerce with product descriptions, image validation, and ensuring photos accurately reflect product features and approved retouch updates
Act as the main point of contact for Press and Communications, providing accurate global product information, press price list, Retail buys and timely answers to product-related questions
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, Fashion Management, or related field is desired
Strong analytical abilities with solid proficiency in Excel, data handling and market trends
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
Genuine interest in fashion
