Job Description:

As a Merchandise Planning Analyst, you will bring the financial strategy of our product vision to life by providing insights and guidance for our largest financial asset – our inventory. You will drive the success of our product lines by simulating data discoveries for profitability and productivity roadmaps.

Job Responsibility:

  • Analyze historical performance and current trends to identify risks and opportunities by style, category and department
  • Create sales and inventory ladder plans (weekly/monthly/quarterly) that align with company budgets
  • Manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) reports, forecasting receipt flow to ensure optimal inventory levels and maximize inventory turn while minimizing markdowns
  • Collaborate with Buying teams to develop assortment strategies that marry brand vision with customer needs
  • Build and maintain comprehensive reporting dashboards tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sell-through, inventory turn, and margin
  • Partner with Buying and Planning to align inventory needs with sales opportunities

Requirements:

  • 1–3+ years of experience in retail planning, allocation, inventory management, or merchandise analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, complex formulas) is essential
  • Strong retail math skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings to cross-functional partners and senior management
