Job Description:

In this role, you will report to the Head of Planning and take ownership of driving sales and inventory performance. Your focus will be on maximising ROI, ensuring sales potential is fully realised while minimising stock outs or excessive markdowns. You’ll balance the art and science of planning, navigating everything from store space constraints to warehouse considerations but always having the customer top of mind. As our Merchandise Planner, you will shape strategies that put the right products in the right places at the right time. If you enjoy blending creativity with data and find satisfaction in seeing a well-crafted plan come to life, this role will suit you perfectly. This will mean you have strong commercial instincts and a results driven mindset. Working closely with many of our departments, you’ll rely on your relationship building skills to influence outcomes and collaborate effectively. You’re also someone who lifts others. With a calm, solutions focused approach, you will navigate the fast-paced nature of the role and stay one step ahead.

Job Responsibility:

  • Working with Product development teams in selection of items
  • Own and manage merch plans by region, with a focus of driving sales, maximising GP and stock turn
  • Build and manage pricing structures including exit strategies
  • Build accurate forecasts of your portfolio by week and report on progress
  • Manage and report on results for your portfolio
  • Conduct Post Seasonal Reviews
  • The quantification of promotional, seasonable and core product ranges
  • Lead and mentor a direct report working collaboratively to achieve goals

Requirements:

  • Previous Merchandise Planning experience within a retail environment, 3-5 years
  • Highly developed merchandising planning, analytical and strategic skills including retail mathematics and performance reviews
  • Advanced in Microsoft excel and merchandise processes and systems
