The Merchandise Planner at Hanna Andersson will manage both pre-season and in-season inventory investments, ensuring alignment with our business goals. As a partner to our Merchants, you will leverage your analytical skills to drive business results through effective portfolio management.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the Open to Buy process
Develop style-level pre-season plans
Optimize prices in real-time to enhance sales, gross margin, and inventory turnover
Demonstrate a strong planning background and exceptional analytical skills
Problem-solve and manage time effectively
Communicate and collaborate with various teams
Develop division, department & style level plans that support the brand strategy
Partner with merchandising on sales and inventory plans aligning with division objectives
Own bottom-up financial reconciliation and forecasting, assessing risks, and creating resolutions
Drive strategies to impact assortment and financials positively
Provide analysis of business trends for effective inventory management
Recommend and execute in-season pricing strategies
Maintain in-stock levels and optimize inventory
Collaborate on planning tools and process improvements
Requirements:
2+ years prior planning experience, preferably direct to consumer
Proven track record in merchandise forecasting, planning, and data analytics
Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in retail math
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to use sales data to maximize profitability
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or equivalent experience
