Job Description:

The Merchandise Analytics Manager will work with the Central Canada Merchandising Team, reporting to the Merchandising Director. They will interact with Local Merchandising teams, Global Merchandising Excellence and Data & Analytics organization, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and other departments. The role involves being an ambassador to Data Driven Merchandising initiatives, facilitating data-driven decision making, and providing feedback on requirements, performance, execution, functionality, and interpretation of organizational data.

Job Responsibility:

  • Demonstrate thought leadership and be an Ambassador to Data Driven Merchandising initiatives
  • Actively participate in ongoing reviews of pricing, assortment, and promotional strategies
  • Document BU level strategic decisions around pricing, promotions, and assortment
  • Mechanize driving insights into actions by working with cross-functional partners
  • Use technical expertise to conceptualize and develop new, reusable tools, models, and approaches
  • Actively participate on the annual DDM planning process for the business unit
  • Translation of insights and recommendations into stories for various stakeholders
  • Join our Global Analytical network on data and analytics issues
  • Mentor junior resources and contribute to their career development
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuous learning

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Business Analytics or a related subject area
  • Three or more years of progressive responsibility experience
  • Proven track record of delivering succinct and structured oral and written communications
  • Experience driving large scale projects end-to-end
  • Demonstration of strategic thinking, logical reasoning, strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working with individuals from different organizational functions and at different levels
  • Experience in a supervisory role, managing and developing people
  • Retail experience is an asset
