Job Description:

To lead and oversee the design, coordination, and implementation of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEPF) systems for large-scale construction projects. This role involves ensuring compliance with local building codes, industry standards, and Bureau Veritas' quality and safety guidelines.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop comprehensive MEPF system designs, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems
  • Conduct load calculations, energy modeling, and system sizing
  • Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and construction documents
  • Coordinate with architectural and structural engineers to ensure seamless integration of MEPF systems
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEPF systems
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project execution
  • Implement quality control procedures to verify compliance with project requirements and industry standards
  • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure the quality of materials, workmanship, and system performance
  • Identify and resolve quality issues promptly and efficiently
  • Prioritize safety on construction sites, enforcing safety protocols and regulations
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, fire codes, and other relevant regulations
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Prepare and review cost estimates and budget forecasts
  • Manage change orders and variations to the contract
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports, technical documents, and project status reports
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation
  • Participate in project meetings and presentations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering from a recognized institution
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, or eligibility to obtain one
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in MEPF engineering, preferably in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of local building codes, fire codes, and industry standards
  • Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Nice to have:

  • Experience in high-rise building construction and complex infrastructure projects is preferred
  • Familiarity with Bureau Veritas' quality management systems and procedures is advantageous
  • A strong understanding of sustainable design principles and energy-efficient systems is desirable
