Job Description

The Lead MEP is responsible for leading the end-to-end MEP design of airport terminal buildings, ensuring compliance with aviation standards, energy efficiency, passenger comfort, safety, and coordination with all disciplines.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the end-to-end MEP design of airport terminal buildings
  • Ensure compliance with aviation standards, energy efficiency, passenger comfort, safety, and coordination with all disciplines
  • Lead HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV/ICT design for airport terminal buildings
  • Manage MEP design from concept, schematic, detailed design to IFC stage
  • Ensure compliance with ICAO, IATA, DGCA, NBC, NFPA, IS codes
  • Design and review MEP layouts, schematics, calculations, and specifications
  • Coordinate MEP design with architectural, structural, BHS, security, and BIM teams
  • Review and finalize tender drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications
  • Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and authority submissions
  • Resolve interdisciplinary design clashes and comments during coordination
  • Guide and mentor MEP engineers and discipline leads
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and timely delivery of all MEP design outputs

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years overall experience in MEP design
  • Minimum 5 years of exclusive experience in Airport Projects/Terminal Building
  • Design consultancy background only (no site / execution roles)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Professional certification (preferred)
  • Strong expertise in Airport Terminal MEP Systems
  • Experience in large HVAC systems, power distribution, emergency systems, fire & life safety
  • Knowledge of energy-efficient and sustainable airport design
  • Proficiency in Revit MEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
  • Only candidates with AIRPORT Project experience will be considered
