Job Responsibility

  • Communicates, records, and reports promptly to the licensed nursing personnel vitals, treatment results, changes in patients condition, observations, patient complaints, and other pertinent information regarding the patient
  • Promptly answers patients requests
  • Follow-up on patient care responsibilities and assignments left from previous shift and reports to team leader any incomplete assignments to ensure continuity of care
  • Performs direct patient care activities for specific patient population according to established policies and procedures
  • adapts techniques to unique needs of each patient
  • Responsible for the cleaning and organizing patient room, clothing and belongings
  • Maintains supplies in a safe and efficient manner and reports maintenance and repairs as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year Mental Health Worker experience working with psychiatric patients either in an inpatient, residential, outpatient setting or comparable equivalent
  • Certified Nursing Assistant: CA or Emergency Medical Technician: CA
  • AHA Basic Life Support

Associate Of Arts or equivalent education
