Job Description:

Provides care to patients in a manner that considers safety, comfort, and therapeutic environment under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Documents observations on assigned patients, Communicates appropriate information regarding patient's condition. Assists with patient education groups, total milieu supervision, assists with admissions/discharges as assigned. Cert Note: CPI Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

  • CPI Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire

  • Perform basic nursing tasks (i.e. vital signs, blood pressure, specimen collection, accu checks, weighing and assisting with ADL)
  • Assist the nurse in carrying out orders within scope of practice
  • Provide trauma informed care and supervision to patients needing physical restraints or seclusion
  • Assist the patient in dealing with relationship difficulties, supports and teaches appropriate socializations skills
