Requirements

High School Graduate and with at least 1 year of experience in mental health., upon hire
Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire or Basic Life Support Instructor, upon hire

Job Responsibility

Provide basic medication triage, support services, and take vital signs for behavioral health patients
Manage front office reception, patient registration, insurance/copay processing, and telephones
Handle back office tasks like refill requests, injections, and accurate EHR documentation
Assist patients through a trauma informed care atmosphere in the development of individuality and appropriate methods of self-expression
Assist the patients in acknowledging and accepting responsibility for psychological and behavioral patterns
Provide appropriate emergency care and maintains a safe environment
Perform basic nursing tasks (i.e. but not limited to: vital signs, blood pressure, specimen collection, accu checks, weighing and assisting with ADL)
Assist the nurse in carrying out orders that are within the scope of practice
Provide trauma informed care and supervision to patients needing physical restraints or seclusion
Assist the patient in dealing with relationship difficulties, supports and teaches appropriate socializations skills
