Job Description

We are currently recruiting Mental Health Support Workers to join specialist education settings in Dorking, supporting children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), alongside additional SEN. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people's wellbeing and helping them overcome barriers to learning.

Job Responsibility

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Encouraging engagement within learning and school life
  • Working closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and therapists
  • Helping to create a safe, structured, and supportive environment

Requirements

  • Must have the right to work in the UK or hold a valid work visa
  • Provide suitable references for pre-employment checks
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Children's Workforce (or Children's & Adults') update service, or be willing to obtain one
