Job Description:

Active Pathways is recruiting committed and compassionate Support Workers to join South Grove House, our specialist residential service in Fulwood, Preston. The service provides tailored, person-centred residential care and support for men aged 18+ with autism, mental health conditions, and complex needs. The approach focuses on positive behavioural support, structured routines, and individualised care plans that help residents build confidence and thrive.

Job Responsibility:

Provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with autism and complex needs
Promote structure, consistency, and independence in daily routines
Support residents to build social, communication, and life skills
Encourage engagement in meaningful activities and community integration
Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored support plans
Help residents navigate challenges using proactive, autism-informed approaches
Support residents with education, employment, and leisure opportunities

Requirements:

Experience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, or mental health needs
Confidence in building meaningful, trusting relationships
Understanding of positive behavioural support and autism-friendly practices
A calm, compassionate, and resilient approach
A genuine passion for person-centred care and inclusion
