Mental Health Support Worker

• Providing one-to-one, holistic support to adults with complex mental health presentations and dual diagnosis
• Using de-escalation, relational practice and clear boundaries to keep people safe while promoting choice and control
• Supporting people with daily living skills (medication support, appointments, budgeting, routines, community access) in line with person-centred care and recovery plans
• Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, families and other agencies to ensure consistent, joined-up care
• Accurately recording notes, monitoring risk and contributing to reviews, always in line with CQC standards and safeguarding duties

• Minimum 1 year paid experience supporting adults with complex mental health needs (e.g. psychosis, personality disorder, severe mood disorders)
• Experience supporting people with dual diagnosis (mental health and substance misuse) or a clear understanding and willingness to work in this area
• Confidence in lone working, using risk management plans and following safeguarding procedures
• Strong communication skills, emotional resilience and a genuinely non-judgemental, recovery-focused approach

Health & Social Care qualification (NVQ/Diploma Level 2 or 3, or equivalent)
