Job Description:

Active Pathways is delighted to be recruiting for a passionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our brand-new residential service, Fernside House, in Armley, Leeds. Fernside House will provide a safe and supportive home for men with enduring mental health needs, and we’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to person-centred, recovery-focused care.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support individuals on their journey to recovery through person-centred care in a residential setting
  • Help residents develop independent living skills and achieve personal goals
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to build positive relationships with residents
  • Provide emotional and practical support to residents
  • Promote engagement in meaningful activities and encourage social inclusion
  • Assist with daily living tasks and support residents in accessing education, employment, and the community
  • Promote independence and self-confidence, helping residents regain control over their lives

Requirements:

  • Experience within a Mental Health or Residential setting
  • Can build rapport with ease with not only the residents but the wider team
  • Understanding the importance of offering person-centered quality care
