Job Description:

We are recruiting a calm, patient, and resilient Mental Health Support Worker to join a specialist SEMH school in Horsham. This role involves supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, particularly those with challenging behaviours, within a structured and nurturing environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, particularly those with challenging behaviours, within a structured and nurturing environment
  • Make a meaningful impact on students’ wellbeing and learning

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours
  • Calm, empathetic, and confident approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Must be able to drive (due to rural location)
  • Right to work in the UK or hold a valid work visa
  • Provide suitable references for pre-employment checks
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Children’s Workforce (or Children’s & Adults’) update service, or be willing to obtain one
