Active Pathways is delighted to be recruiting for a compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our mixed gender residential service, Brookhaven and our male only Inpatient Hospital, The Hamptons, in Bamber Bridge. Brookhaven provides a safe and supportive home for males and females with enduring mental health needs, whilst The Hamptons provides a specialist therapeutic, recovery-focused in-patient care environment for men with complex mental health needs. We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to OUTSTANDING person-centred, therapeutic, recovery-focused care.
Job Responsibility:
Provide person-centred care in a rehabilitation setting
Help residents develop independent living skills and achieve personal goals
Support residents with meaningful daily activities and community engagement
Assist with emotional, social, and practical needs
Work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team to provide consistent support
Promote independence, self-confidence, and relapse prevention strategies
Encourage and support access to education, employment, and leisure opportunities
Requirements:
Experience working within a mental health or rehabilitation setting is essential
Confidence in building rapport with residents and the wider team
A strong understanding of person-centred, quality care
A positive, supportive approach with a focus on recovery and inclusion
Experience of working with a range of mental health diagnosis and challenging behaviour
