New Start has an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Support Practitioner to join our Adults Services Team based in Liverpool. This is a rewarding role where you will make a real difference, supporting vulnerable adults to achieve positive outcomes and lead fulfilling, independent lives.
Job Responsibility:
Provide both practical and emotional support to individuals with mental health needs
Support residents within our services and visit vulnerable adults in their own homes to deliver outreach support
Help individuals maintain their independence, develop life skills, and manage their tenancy and daily living responsibilities
Implement and facilitate activities that promote personal development across areas such as education, social inclusion, emotional resilience, physical health, and positive mental wellbeing
Support individuals to manage medication, sustain engagement, and develop independence
Assist with the safe management of buildings, respond appropriately to incidents, and ensure all reporting and recording requirements are met
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting clients with mental health issues
Excellent communication skills with a calm, patient, and confident manner
Experience supporting vulnerable individuals through crisis or periods of change
Experience of working collaboratively with other agencies (voluntary and statutory)
Experience of casework, support planning, risk assessments, and key working
Full driving licence, access to your own vehicle, and business insurance
Nice to have:
Experience assessing the needs of vulnerable adults, particularly those at risk of homelessness

£50 per sleep
1 on / 2 off shift pattern
