We are looking to build a young, energetic male support team with a genuine interest in music to support an individual within our Supported Living Services in the S42 area of Chesterfield. This role requires staff who have a strong understanding of PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) anxiety and are confident in supporting challenging behaviours in a calm, consistent, and person-centred way.
Job Responsibility:
Provide high-quality, person-centred support to an individual with complex needs
Build trusting relationships and promote independence and quality of life
Support emotional regulation and anxiety management, particularly related to PDA
Assist with daily living tasks including medication, cooking, cleaning, and documentation
Encourage engagement in music and meaningful activities
Support access to the community and development of skills, interests, and routines
Requirements:
Experience supporting individuals with autism, mental health needs, or complex behaviours
Strong understanding of PDA anxiety and challenging behaviours
Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
An energetic, patient, and resilient approach
Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
A positive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
