Job Description:

Mental Health Support Assistant position working with students experiencing social, emotional or mental health challenges in a secondary school setting, helping them thrive both personally and academically.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver 1:1 and small group emotional wellbeing sessions
Support students with SEMH and SEND needs both in and out of class
Monitor progress and wellbeing, contributing to personalised support plans
Liaise with teachers and the pastoral team to ensure joined-up support strategies

Requirements:

Graduate from a strong academic background
Passionate about mental health, wellbeing and education
Confident, empathetic and proactive when supporting young people
Resilient and committed to long-term impact in a school setting

Nice to have:

Excellent experience for aspiring teachers, youth workers, counsellors or mental health professionals
