Job Description:

Not every student thrives in a mainstream classroom — and that’s where you come in. We’re working with a specialist setting in Farnborough supporting pupils across primary and secondary ages with SEMH needs, and they’re looking for a Mental Health Support Assistant to join them ASAP. This is a hands-on role supporting students who may struggle with emotional regulation, behaviour, or engagement in learning.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups
  • Helping de-escalate challenging situations
  • Building trust and consistency with pupils
  • Supporting access to education in a way that works for them

Requirements:

  • A calm, resilient approach
  • Experience with SEND, SEMH, youth work or care (ideal)
  • A genuine interest in mental health
  • DBS on the Update Service
  • Up-to-date safeguarding

Nice to have:
