Are you ready to use your lived experience to inspire change? We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Peer Outreach Worker to build trusted relationships with people and communities who may be under-represented or face barriers to accessing mental health support. This is a meaningful role where your lived experience, insight, and empathy will help others feel seen, heard, and empowered in their own recovery.
Job Responsibility:
Build trusting relationships with individuals and communities who may be under-represented, marginalised, or hesitant to engage with mental health services
Use your lived experience to provide emotionally attuned, culturally responsive peer support in one-to-one and group settings
Work alongside Mental Health Recovery Outreach Workers as part of a team
Co-design and deliver recovery-focused, place-based activities that reflect people’s identities, strengths, and aspirations
Support individuals to identify meaningful goals, reduce barriers, and build confidence, autonomy, and social inclusion
Work collaboratively with families, carers, community networks, and colleagues to promote inclusive pathways to recovery
Maintain safe, trauma-informed, and ethical practice, keeping accurate and respectful records in line with safeguarding and quality standards
Requirements:
Lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery
Positive attitude, resilience, and enthusiasm for peer support and coproduction
Experience of groups and individual support within health, social care, or related environment
Good communication skills (written, verbal, motivational)
Ability to plan, prioritise, and organise work
IT literacy (Word, email, data input)
Willingness to travel within Restore’s service area
