We are looking for a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in Horsham, supporting both primary and secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Job Responsibility:
Supporting primary and secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Assisting with classroom learning and structured daily routines
Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
Encouraging engagement, confidence and independence
Responding to challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent and proactive manner
Working closely with teachers and the wider support team
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a school setting is essential
Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, SEND or behavioural needs
