Job Description

Join Alcedo Care as a Complex Mental Health Care Assistant in Heysham. Excellent rates of pay £18.00 – £18.50 per hour + Pension + Holiday Pay (equivalent to £20.78 to £21.35 per hour including holiday pay & pension). We are offering a free DBS check! Immediate interviews available – let's fast-track your application! Guaranteed Income: Full-time minimum contracted hours (24 or 36 hrs). 12-hour day or waking night shifts on a Rota basis – 08:00-20:00 or 20:00-08:00. Applications for this role are open to candidates who meet the criteria of being female and maintain a professional appearance in line with the clients needs. Due to the specific needs of the clients we support, this role is subject to a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010. The successful applicant will be required to support a female client, including providing transport and working in situations involving privacy, dignity and safeguarding considerations. For this reason, we are only able to consider female applicants for this position. Maintaining a professional appearance in line with individual client needs is essential in this role. This may include adhering to specific guidance on dress and presentation to ensure the comfort and wellbeing of the client. In some cases, this may require visible tattoos to be covered, where they are known to act as a distress trigger for the clients being supported, particularly those living with complex conditions such as neurological impairments, trauma-related responses, or cognitive conditions. These requirements will always be discussed with candidates and are based on delivering safe, person-centred care. These requirements relate solely to the nature of the role and the needs of the individuals supported. All other aspects of recruitment will be assessed fairly and on merit.
