Job Description

An opportunity to provide a mental health service to young people aged 12 – 25, their families, and wider service systems. Join a creative committed diligent youth team. Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across three campuses in the north-east of Melbourne and statewide.

Job Responsibility

  • Undertake comprehensive assessments, risk formulations and safety planning, and case management for young people and their carers/families with an emphasis on supporting them through the recovery process
  • Work collaboratively with the team and our Lived Experience and Aboriginal Mental Health Liaison workforce in terms of care planning and treatment recommendations
  • Facilitate groups with other teams within the ICYMHS space
  • Attend professional supervision and regular team meetings
  • Provide a mental health service to young people aged 12 – 25, their families, and wider service systems

Requirements

  • Demonstrated clinical experience working with adolescents and families
  • Relevant years of experience for the role
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Extensive experience in case management and systems work
  • Values teamwork
  • Enthusiasm and passion for the role
