We are currently looking for Mental Health Assistants to work within specialist schools across Surrey, supporting children and young people with SEMH needs and associated challenges. These roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about wellbeing, behaviour support, and helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
Job Responsibility
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Helping students regulate emotions and manage behaviour positively
Supporting engagement in learning and daily routines
Developing safe, consistent and trusting relationships
Working alongside teachers and pastoral staff to support pupil needs
Requirements
Passionate about wellbeing
Passionate about behaviour support
Helping young people overcome barriers to learning
Right to work in the UK or hold a valid work visa
Provide suitable references for pre-employment checks
Hold an enhanced DBS on the Children’s Workforce (or Children’s & Adults’) update service, or be willing to obtain one
