Job Description:

This role has two core components. The first and primary responsibility is to lead PepsiCo’s MENA environmental policies agenda, with a primary focus on Saudi Arabia as the main market. The role covers regulatory affairs, policy monitoring, and advocacy on environmental matters such as packaging, waste management, circular economy, climate disclosures, and resource efficiency. The second responsibility is to manage North Africa public policy, ensuring that advocacy efforts in those markets remain consistent with PepsiCo’s wider business and regional priorities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead engagement in Saudi Arabia with institutions shaping environmental policy: Ministry of Environment, Water & Agriculture, Ministry of Energy, Saudi Food & Drug Authority, National Center for Waste Management
  • Saudi Standards, Metrology & Quality Organization
  • and National Energy Efficiency Center
  • Coordinate closely with the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Investment, Public Investment Fund, and King Abdullah City for Atomic & Renewable Energy to align on environmental objectives
  • Monitor and analyze evolving environmental regulations across MENA, ensuring that Saudi Arabia remains the main priority in PepsiCo’s external engagement
  • Support secondary engagement in the UAE with MoCCAE, Ministry of Economy, Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, and Dubai Municipality to complement Saudi-led advocacy
  • Represent PepsiCo in GCC and regional environmental policy forums, industry associations, and public–private dialogues
  • Provide strategic insights to senior leadership on environmental policy and regulatory developments
  • Develop high-quality advocacy tools including position papers, policy briefs, and regulatory submissions to advance PepsiCo’s environmental agenda
  • Develop and execute public policy and governmental affairs strategies in North African markets in line with PepsiCo’s priorities
  • Build strong relationships with ministries, regulators, and trade associations across North Africa
  • Monitor and assess policy and regulatory changes, providing timely insights to PepsiCo leadership
  • Represent PepsiCo in public–private dialogues, consultations, and forums, ensuring consistency with broader MENA advocacy

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental policy, Public Policy, International Relations, or related field
  • 5–7 years of experience in environmental policy and/or governmental affairs, preferably in a multinational company
  • Strong expertise in Saudi Arabia environmental and regulatory environment, with exposure to UAE and North Africa
  • Fluency in English, Arabic, and French (mandatory)
  • Excellent skills in policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and external advocacy
