Sunderland AFC is launching a new Membership programme and a supporting app to enhance the connection between the club and its supporters. The Membership Executive will manage the scheme's day-to-day operations, striving to deliver a world-class experience for members. This role focuses on daily management and contributes ideas for continuous improvement. Performance assessed based on member growth, retention, revenue, and overall quality of member experience.
Job Responsibility
Manage the day-to-day operations of the new membership programme
support the launch and continuous improvement of the programme
execute daily tasks to grow membership among existing fans and priority international markets
contribute to broader marketing initiatives and campaigns
work with Business Insights team, Digital Experience Manager, and external agency partners
support the membership app as it evolves
achieve member growth, retention, revenue, and quality of member experience
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
some experience in a marketing role through work, placement, or internship is desirable
strong recent graduates will also be considered
good understanding of digital marketing, social media, and content creation
strong copywriting skills
confident IT skills including content management systems, email platforms, and analytics tools
excellent written and verbal communication skills
ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
proactive, well-organized, comfortable in a dynamic environment
collaborative team player
ability to obtain a Basic DBS through SAFC
right to work in the UK

Experience managing multi-channel campaigns across email, paid media, social, and web
involvement in launching new products, programs, or memberships
marketing app-led products or driving app engagement
exposure to international or multi-market campaigns
experience working with external agencies
updating and managing website content via CMS
working alongside data and insight teams to translate analysis into marketing actions
genuine interest in football and understanding of fan culture
