Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and relationship-driven Membership Engagement Coordinator to support member growth, retention, and engagement initiatives. This individual will serve as a key liaison between the organization and its membership base, ensuring a high-touch member experience while leveraging marketing strategies to drive awareness, participation, and long-term retention. The ideal candidate understands both relationship management and marketing fundamentals — using data, messaging, and campaigns to enhance member value and organizational impact.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and execute engagement plans that increase member participation, satisfaction, and retention
  • Track engagement metrics and retention trends, identifying opportunities to improve the member journey
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns promoting membership benefits, events, and initiatives
  • Assist with content creation including email newsletters, social media posts, promotional materials, and website updates
  • Support marketing automation and CRM efforts to segment audiences and personalize communications
  • Analyze campaign performance and member engagement data to inform future strategies
  • Contribute ideas to grow membership acquisition through targeted outreach and strategic messaging

Requirements:

  • 2–4+ years of experience in membership engagement, client relationship management, customer success, or marketing
  • Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals including email marketing, content creation, and campaign strategy
  • Experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills
  • Event coordination experience preferred
  • Experience supporting nonprofit, association, higher education, or community-based organizations
  • Understanding of member lifecycle management and retention strategies
