Our client, a respected and long-established learned society within the sciences, is seeking a Membership & Marketing Manager to lead membership growth, retention and engagement, while raising the profile and visibility of the organisation across the scientific community. The Society represents professionals, researchers and registered practitioners within its field, supporting excellence through membership, professional registration, awards, events and knowledge-sharing. It works closely with academics, industry specialists and policy stakeholders to advance standards and professional recognition. This is a pivotal role combining membership operations, marketing strategy and communications delivery. Working closely with the CEO, trustees and committees, you will ensure the Society’s membership offering remains relevant, visible and valued.

Requirements:
Experience within a membership organisation, learned society, professional body or association
Proven track record of growing and retaining membership
Strong digital marketing and communications experience, including email campaigns, website management and social media
Experience managing CRM systems and membership databases
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to engage a scientific or professional audience
Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote environment
Nice to have:
Experience within a scientific, academic or technical environment
Knowledge of professional registers or accreditation frameworks
Experience supporting committees, trustees or volunteer-led governance structures
Experience promoting awards, sponsorship and events
