We are looking for a Member Services Representative to support a busy non-profit service environment in Durham, North Carolina. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, communicating clearly, and staying organized while managing a high volume of inbound calls. The person in this role will provide responsive assistance to members, handle routine transactions accurately, and maintain strong service standards in a fast-paced call center setting.
Job Responsibility:
Respond to incoming member calls promptly and provide courteous, solution-focused support
Assist members with questions, service requests, and general account-related concerns while ensuring a positive experience
Enter and update information accurately in computer systems while maintaining strong attention to detail
Process payments and handle cash-related transactions in accordance with established procedures
Document conversations, actions taken, and follow-up needs thoroughly to support service continuity
Manage multiple priorities efficiently in a high-volume call center environment without compromising quality
Type and navigate between systems effectively to complete inquiries and maintain accurate records
Escalate complex issues appropriately and coordinate with internal teams to help resolve member concerns
Requirements:
Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a call center or high-volume support setting
Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and use multiple systems confidently
Accurate typing ability and comfort entering information quickly during live calls
Experience answering inbound calls and assisting customers with careful attention to detail
Solid cash handling skills and attention to accuracy when processing transactions
Clear verbal communication skills and a consistent focus on member satisfaction
Ability to stay organized, dependable, and productive in a fast-paced work environment
