Job Description:

Help lead top events in Ghent. You will be the driving force behind our brand-new, state-of-the-art Scala Event Center, located within our hotel hub.

Job Responsibility:

First point of contact for guests during events, meetings, and dinners, ensuring the 'Marriott touch' in every interaction
Manage the team of waiters and ensure efficient collaboration
Maintain an overview during peak times and respond quickly to unexpected situations, ensuring the flawless execution of every event
Ensure a professional and welcoming atmosphere in the event spaces
Coordinate with our kitchen, bar, and other teams for seamless service

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a leadership or coordinating role within the hospitality or event industry
Stress-resistant, organized, and thrive in a dynamic environment
Flexible – willing to work shifts between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., including weekends and public holidays
A born communicator who motivates colleagues and exceeds guest expectations
Strong communication skills and speak fluent Dutch or English (additional languages are a plus!)
Looking for a full-time (38h) or at least 4/5 employment
