We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a cross-functional agile team responsible for the development, customization, and operation of an enterprise-grade IT monitoring platform. The platform tracks real-time status and performance data of servers, network devices, applications, and cloud and containerized environments. Your primary focus will be on platform operations, infrastructure management, and continuous improvement of deployment and maintenance processes - with Python scripting experience being a definite advantage.
Job Responsibility
Operating and maintaining the monitoring platform, including security patching, version upgrades, and day-to-day troubleshooting
Managing deployment pipelines, configuration management, and infrastructure automation
Contributing to the customization and extension of monitoring functionality (plugins, checks, integrations)
Collaborating closely in an agile team alongside developers, an ML engineer, a security lead, and an agile coach
Working with client-side stakeholders (Product Owner, Solution Architect, Service Operations Manager) on feature delivery and technical alignment
Maintaining technical documentation and contributing to knowledge sharing within the team
Requirements
Solid Linux administration experience at the command-line level
Hands-on experience with/Understanding of network protocols and monitoring standards and best practicies (TCP/IP, DNS, SNMP) in large-scale infrastructures, including troubleshooting
Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, shell/bash scripting)
Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, or Podman)
Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or GitLab)
Knowledge of monitoring concepts and solutions (e.g., agent-based monitoring, SNMP)
Openness to new technologies, a sense of ownership, and the flexibility to adapt in a dynamic environment
Nice to have
Python scripting experience for automation, tool integration, or plugin development
Background in networking, certificate management, or database administration
Experience with cloud-based deployments
Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) or observability-driven development (ODD)
Experience in telecoms hardware or enterprise infrastructure environments
Ability to work independently and take initiative when identifying gaps or proposing improvements
Strong analytical mindset for diagnosing complex system issues
Collaborative approach and openness to working in a cross-functional, international agile team
