Job Description:

The purpose of a Medical Scribe at Oak Street Health is to support primary care providers with clinical documentation so they can focus on exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include assisting during patient visits, real-time documentation, and supporting accurate clinical workflows.

Job Responsibility:

Support primary care providers with clinical documentation
Assist providers throughout the patient care journey
Observe and document patient encounters in real time
Serve as clinical documentation assistants
Help providers identify and close care gaps
Become experts in the value-based care model, chronic condition care, ICD-10, and CPT coding

Requirements:

Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications, either from a pre-medical degree or prior clinical experience [preferred]
Prior clinical experience, including shadowing and/or volunteering [strongly preferred]
Prior scribe or transcription experience [preferred but not required]
