Job Description:

The purpose of a Medical Scribe at Oak Street Health is to support primary care providers with clinical documentation and assist providers throughout the patient care journey, including real-time documentation of patient encounters and planning for visits. Scribes also receive training in areas like value-based medicine and preventative care for chronic conditions, making it an excellent opportunity for future healthcare professionals.

Job Responsibility:

Support primary care providers with clinical documentation
assist providers throughout patient care journey
observe and document patient encounters in real-time
help providers identify and close care gaps
assist with planning for daily visits and next steps

Requirements:

Commit to at least 1-2 years in the role
excellent opportunity for pre-med track individuals or those pursuing careers in Health Informatics, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or Medical Coding
ability to support accurate, specific, and timely clinical documentation
knowledge or willingness to learn ICD-10 and CPT coding
commitment to learn value-based medicine and preventative care for chronic conditions

Nice to have:

Experience in Health Informatics, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Medical Coding
interest in working in value-based care settings
