Job Description:

The role of a Medical Scribe at CVS Health involves assisting primary care providers with real-time clinical documentation, planning for patient visits, and supporting accurate and specific chronic condition care. This position is integral to improving value-based care through expertise in ICD-10, CPT coding, and care gap closures. It requires focus on clinical workflows, preventative care, and team collaboration.

Job Responsibility:

Support primary care providers with clinical documentation
Plan for daily visits with providers
Observe and document patient encounters in real time
Assist providers with next steps after visits
Help identify and close care gaps

Requirements:

Extensive on-the-job training in clinical workflows, value-based medicine, preventative care for chronic conditions, accurate and specific documentation, population health data streams, and team-based care expertise
Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding
Ability to support providers throughout the patient care journey, including documenting patient encounters in real time and assisting with care gap closures

Nice to have:
