Job Description:

The purpose of a Medical Scribe is to support primary care providers with clinical documentation, enabling them to focus on exceptional patient care. The role involves observing and documenting patient interactions in real-time, preparing summaries, improving clinical documentation, and providing administrative support. Extensive training is provided, with focus on chronic conditions, population health, and value-based care.

Job Responsibility:

Documenting patient encounters by joining provider in the exam room
creating structured notes including history of present illness, assessment, and plan
assigning CPT and ICD-10 codes
preparing After Visit Summaries
requesting and reviewing medical records
supporting providers in clinical documentation improvement
administrative duties including placing orders and referrals.

Requirements:

At least 1-2 years commitment to the role
expertise in value-based care model, documentation, and chronic condition care
familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding
ability to join provider in exam room for documenting patient visits
willingness to learn and train in clinical workflows and population health tools
good communication skills and attention to detail.

Nice to have:

Interest in Health Informatics, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Medical Coding, or related fields
pre-med track for MD/DO/PA/NP programs.
