Roster will generally be over 5 days a week however a flexible approach to work patterns is required in line with service.

Job Responsibility

Operate automated analysers including Chemistry, Haematology, Immunoassay and blood gas operation and management of Point of Care equipment.
Participate in maintenance of equipment both in Biochemistry and in point of care locations as directed by the head of department
Perform other investigations or tests that are deemed necessary by the head of department or Consultant.
Participate in internal and external quality control and quality assurance.
Participate in care and maintenance of equipment and decontamination and cleaning of departments as required.
Actively participate in and promote continuing education and research activities consistent with the values of the hospital.
To perform tasks and duties in a manner that ensures compliance with relevant regulations so that the requirements of International standard ISO 15189 (current version), JCI ACCREDITATION STANDARDS for hospitals and relevant Medical Devices Directives 93/42/EC and 98/79/EC are met.

Job Responsibility
