Job Description:

The role is a field-based medical expert responsible for engaging healthcare professionals (HCPs) through scientific exchange, evidence sharing, and insight gathering to support medical and strategic objectives. This role plays a key part in translating clinical data into practice, supporting internal teams with medical expertise, and strengthening Baxter scientific presence in the healthcare community.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and execute medical strategies for Baxter’s solutions, aligning both local and regional business objectives to drive leadership in the field
  • Engage HCPs through scientific exchange, education, and evidence dissemination to support the appropriate use of Baxter’s therapeutics and enhance patient outcomes
  • Collect and analyze clinical insights from the field to inform internal strategy, shape evidence generation priorities, and support commercial and cross-functional teams with real-world intelligence
  • Develop and deliver internal medical training to commercial, market access, and cross-functional teams, strengthening internal capabilities on the therapeutic landscape and product knowledge
  • Establish and maintain strong KOL and speaker engagement, including planning and facilitating advisory boards, round-table scientific meetings, and speaker development initiatives to expand Baxter’s influence
  • Drive evidence generation projects such as real-world data studies and investigator-initiated research to address data gaps and support market development and access
  • Ensure compliance and ethical standards in all medical activities, including the review of promotional materials, grants, and participation in cross-functional initiatives, serving as a key medical reviewer and gatekeeper

Requirements:

  • Proactive, self-driven, and results-oriented, with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, field-based role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the maturity to navigate complex stakeholder networks and build trusted relationships with HCPs and internal teams
  • Excellent organizational judgment and prioritization skills to manage multiple cross-functional requests and market needs effectively
  • Professional fluency in both written and spoken English
  • able to deliver clear, impactful scientific communication
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as required to support field engagement, scientific events, and regional collaboration
  • Agile mindset and high business acumen
  • MBBS or Master/PhD in life science or pharmacist/country equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years equivalent experience within a pharmaceutical and/or medical device company
  • Excellent organizational skills, resilience and team spirit

Nice to have:

Experience in Medical Affairs, clinical development, market access, with therapeutic areas like anesthesia or surgical or ICU environment is a plus.
