In this Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Manager position, you will be responsible for the Cologne, Dusseldorf, Bonn, and Aachen regions. Leveraging your deep scientific expertise in rheumatology and gastroenterology, you will engage with external specialists and healthcare professionals on a peer-to-peer basis to discuss treatment options, products, patient trends, and collaborative studies. This is a field-based role, serving as a direct extension of the Medical Affairs team.
Job Responsibility:
Field-based HCP-related activities are expected to account for 80–95% of the MSL's responsibilities
Gain valuable insights into treatment patterns and scientific activities in the field of inflammatory medicine and will make important strategic contributions to the company's Medical Affairs plan
Enhance the medical value of our products based on the benefit-risk profile of our medications and help promote innovative therapeutic approaches for patients
Through activities aligned with the Medical Affairs Plan, you will share responsibility for the implementation of short- and long-term company goals and be responsible for carrying out the MSL activities described in the respective country-specific Medical Affairs Plan
The role involves collaboration with all members of the Medical Affairs department as well as cross-functional interactions with other relevant country-specific roles
Requirements:
Advanced degree in life sciences (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) required
Extensive experience as an MSL in this field or equivalent experience preferred
Any previous field experience in pharma is considered relevant
Solid track record of effective and influential oral presentations in the healthcare/scientific community
Therapeutic/research experience or extensive experience in patient care is considered as a plus
Fluent German speaker, very good English skills
