This is a field-based position for the Oncology Therapeutic Area Medical Science Liaison (MSL) group within the Scientific Affairs organization. In this vital role, you will interact with Oncology Healthcare decision-makers to communicate and advance the scientific platform as aligned with Amgen's organizational goals and objectives. The MSL is in an integral position to ensure accurate, clear, and valued information regarding our scientific platform is communicated to multiple levels within the medical community. The successful MSL will communicate complex, cutting-edge scientific information and research concepts to healthcare decision-makers, including but not limited to those at academic medical centers. The role may also include clinical and pharmacoeconomic value discussions with payers and formulary decision-makers.
Job Responsibility
Interact with Oncology Healthcare decision-makers to communicate and advance the scientific platform as aligned with Amgen's organizational goals and objectives
Communicate complex cutting-edge scientific information and research concepts to healthcare decision-makers
Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision-makers
Identify and train members of Amgen's speakers' bureau and ensure they are updated on new data
Respond to requests for investigator-sponsored research proposals
Support Amgen-sponsored research
Provide insights based on field interactions with healthcare thought leaders to Amgen partners
Provide scientific support for commercial, corporate accounts, and other matrix colleagues
Cultivate scientific relationships between Amgen and Fellows in training
Lead and/or participate on committees or project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics
Seek opportunities to support the MSL value proposition and achieve results
Demonstrate tact and professionalism

Requirements
Doctorate degree
OR Master's degree & 3 years of Medical Affairs experience
OR Bachelor's degree & 5 years of Medical Affairs experience
Nice to have
Pharm. D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O.
3 or more years of experience in a medically related field, including 1 or more years focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research
Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company
Oncology therapeutic area expertise
