We are seeking a detail‑oriented and dependable Medical Records Clerk to support the accurate management and maintenance of patient records in a healthcare setting. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, discreet, and comfortable working with confidential information.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain, organize, and accurately file medical records (electronic and/or paper)
Retrieve, scan, and upload patient documentation into medical record systems
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
Respond to internal and external requests for medical records
Audit records for completeness and accuracy
Assist with chart preparation and record retention processes
Work closely with clinical and administrative staff as needed
Requirements:
Prior medical records, health information, or clerical experience preferred
Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Basic computer skills and data entry experience
Reliable and able to manage repetitive tasks efficiently
